Application Evaluation

Tell us what you need to lift, pull or position. An Allied engineer will recommend a standard Columbia unit, a modified one, or a custom design, and tell you what it takes to get there.

Questions we get

Does an evaluation cost anything?

No. It’s how we quote, so there’s no charge and no obligation.

What if I don’t know some of the numbers?

Send what you have. An engineer will follow up for the rest, and often the application description is enough to start.

Can I send drawings or photos?

Yes. Reply to our first email with drawings, photos or a sketch of the rigging.

Is this only for custom units?

No. Most evaluations end in a standard Columbia model, sometimes with a different drum, ratio or controls.

Can a distributor submit for an end customer?

Yes. Put your company in “Company” and the end user’s location in “Where will it be installed.”
