Strap Drum Conversions
A strap drum option for every standard Columbia winch and hoist. Straps are easier to handle, inspect and install than wire rope or chain, wind smoothly, need no lubrication, and won’t jagger, chip or spark.
Strap or wire rope?
Straps solve the handling problems of wire rope and chain. Line pull and line speed depend on the winch or hoist, so check its technical specification sheet or ask us for the strap rating on your model.

How to spec a strap drum
Pick the Columbia winch or hoist that fits the job, then ask for the strap drum option. Strap drums are offered on hoists up to 5,600 lbs and winches up to 11,000 lbs.
