Why APPI:
Cleaning confined spaces inside large industrial silos, vessels, and towers is a challenging task, especially with the presence of explosive dust and debris. IVS Hydro Inc. tackled this issue by using the Columbia HF1750-P-02 pneumatic hoist from Allied Power Products, Inc. (APPI). This hoist safely raises and lowers their custom-designed cleaning head, which spins as it moves vertically within the structures.
The Columbia HF1750-P-02 features a totally sealed design, making it ideal for wet and humid environments. Despite its compact size and lightweight construction, it can lift over three-quarters of a ton. All while being lightweight and compact, easily relocating between work sites.
Aaron Gillispie, project manager for IVS Hydro, praises the hoist’s performance, stating, “The hoist has worked flawlessly since we first used it in early 2017, and we have just ordered a repeat unit for the exact same application.”
