Why APPI:  As their name implies, Intake Screens, Inc. provides self-cleaning water intake screens that protect pumps from debris and keep fish from being pulled into the water system.  When the California Department of Water Resources contracted with them to provide a screen for the Curtis Landing fish release site on Sherman Island in the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta, Intake Screens asked us to provide a hoist that would lower the screen into working position and then pull it up for periodic maintenance.

Given the usage is intermittent, the cast, machined and sealed design of our HF2300 AC electric hoist protects it from the elements and helps ensure it is ready for work when needed.  While this application isn’t complex, it’s critical to the CDWR and we’re pleased to have been able to work with Intake Screens, Inc. since 2011 on similar projects.

Please contact us if you would like more information about this particular fish screen hoist or any of our other products and services.
