Why APPI:
Drilling mud is hard on pumps. The viscous, caustic fluid can quickly damage components. So for manufacturers like Portable Mud Systems, easy pump access is crucial for repairs and replacement.
When owner Brandon Westenberg specified a pump for one of his mud systems, he matched it with an Allied Power HF4700 hoist. This electric model provides 1,500 pounds of line pull, easily lifting the heavy pump out of the tank.
The hoist mounts to overhead beams using Columbia’s Quick Mount Brackets. An epoxy coating and stainless steel hardware enhance durability in the demanding oil and gas environment. Mud splatter is no match for this rugged reliable solution.
The HF4700’s -19 strap drum handles up to 30 feet of 4-inch wide strap. A latching hook ensures secure pump attachment for controlled maneuvering. NEMA 4X enclosed controls and an IP65 handheld pendant allow operators to precisely position pumps, despite site conditions.
Allied Power worked closely with Westenberg to provide the HF4700-4A17-L-19 hoist. Its 2.0HP motor delivers quick line speed, minimizing downtime during service. This collaboration reflects the company’s commitment to boosting efficiency for industrial clients.
With pump accessibility simplified, Portable Mud Systems can uphold continuous smooth operations on the jobsite.
